How can we help you? We are beekeepers that live in this area. We care about Fort Mill and surrounding area. Our mission is to provide accessible, science-based education and practical training that enables beekeepers to successfully manage healthy honey bee colonies while contributing to environmental sustainability and agricultural resilience. Through workshops, talks, demonstration apiaries, and mentorship programs, the association seeks to equip members with the knowledge and skills necessary to practice responsible and sustainable beekeeping.

About the President of the Fort Mill Regional Beekeepers Association

Dr. Karén Avetisyan is the Co-Founder and President of the Fort Mill Regional Beekeepers Association. A scientists, educator, beekeeper, and entrepreneur, Dr. Avetisyan holds a PhD in Apiculture (beekeeping) and brings extensive experience in honey bee biology, colony management, pollinator health, and beekeeper education.

As the founder of Bee & Comb LLC, he has dedicated his work to advancing beekeeping through education, practical training, innovation, and community outreach. His mission is to make beekeeping more accessible, science-based, and community-driven for beginners and experienced beekeepers alike.

Through the Fort Mill Regional Beekeepers Association, Dr. Avetisyan aims to build a strong regional beekeeping community focused on education, mentorship, responsible beekeeping practices, pollinator advocacy, and meaningful collaboration among beekeepers.

Under his leadership, the association is committed to providing educational programs, networking opportunities, hands-on learning experiences, and resources that support both beekeeper success and honey bee health across the Fort Mill region and surrounding communities.

In addition, the Fort Mill Regional Beekeepers Association supports collaboration among beekeepers, researchers, educators, and agricultural professionals to advance knowledge in honey bee biology, colony health, and sustainable beekeeping practices. The association strives to serve as a regional hub for the exchange of knowledge, innovation, and best practices that contribute to the long-term health of honey bees and other pollinators.

The Fort Mill Regional Beekeepers Association (FMRBA) is dedicated to advancing responsible beekeeping, promoting pollinator health, and strengthening the beekeeping community throughout Fort Mill and the surrounding region. The association exists to support both new and experienced beekeepers through education, mentorship, research collaboration, and community engagement.
